Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and Skilled Senior Data Engineer for one of our clients

Position:Senior Data Engineer

Location: Remote Full Time Permanent

Project Overview:

The Senior Data Engineer will support the modernization of the client legacy tax processing systems. This initiative is essential for enhancing the client systems and processes, improving taxpayer experience, increasing voluntary compliance, and reducing dependency on outdated and costly legacy technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of a modernized BMF platform.
• Assist with day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) tasks based on CLIENT priorities, including project management, O&M, development, modernization, software enhancements, and legislative updates.
• Design, develop, and implement Java-based microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design Java plugins and microservices.
• Architect and design scalable, reliable Java microservices to meet specific business needs.
• Work within an AWS Data Fabric platform and utilize cloud technologies for modernization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience with architectural frameworks and designing applications.
• Extensive experience with Java microservices development using the Spring Boot framework.
• Proficiency in AWS and cloud platforms, specifically AWS Data Fabric.
• Strong background in designing Java microservices and developing Java-based business rules using MVEL language.
• Experience with cross-functional team collaboration to design innovative Java plugins and microservices.
• Ability to architect scalable and reliable solutions in line with business needs.
• Mainframe programming and migration experience (z/OS preferred).
• Strong understanding of modernization approaches and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with IBM Digital Core Solution.
• Familiarity with Kafka and Confluent for messaging and data streaming.
• Hands-on experience with Java Message Service, Core Java, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and other microservice technologies.
• Familiarity with client systems and processes is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
