Senior Director Package Design Engineering

This position collaborate and drive the execution of the package technology roadmap and cost reduction with Renesas Operations and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• This role will directly report to the VP of Technology & Incubation in support of all PWR BUs (including discrete power).
• Collaborate closely with each PWR BU and provide package technology solutions and roadmap to meet the BU requirements including cost and timing.
• Collaborate with Renesas Operations team as well as external partners to full fill PWR packaging roadmap requirements and timelines.
• Driver of cost alignments and competitiveness to ensure industry leading package cost
• Potentially may include a few direct reports to assist in the execution of the roadmap.

Requirements

• BS or preferably MS/PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 15 years working with power package technology preferably in a product group
• Deep expert knowledge on power packaging and market trends.
• Experience working with external package vendors with successful co-package development in high volume production.
