Bridge Design Engineer II

AECOM is looking for a Bridge Design Engineer II to enhance the capabilities of AECOM's regional bridge team being based in AECOM's Chicago, Ill. office.

Job Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills. This position is an opportunity to work within a well-established group offering diverse projects, technical challenges, and career development opportunities.
• Need to be able to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prepare contract drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, technical reports, and construction cost estimates.
• Perform existing bridge inspection, and condition assessment, and develop rehabilitation strategies.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil (Structural) engineering.
• 5+ years of bridge design experience.
• Master's degree a plus
• Experience with related project work with Illinois DOT / IL Tollway / City of Chicago.
• SE license in IL or ability to obtain the same in the next 2 years.
• PE license in IL or ability to obtain the same via reciprocity.
• Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc.
• Railroad bridge design experience is a plus.

• Offered rate of compensation (Chicago, Ill. area only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000.
