Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Analyst serves a crucial role on Saviynt’s Analytics team. They ensure that details behind requests are captured, realistic, and understood by those charged with delivering on the requests. They act as a conduit for consistent communication between stakeholders and the delivery team. They coordinate projects in a way that minimizes risk and consistently deliver results on time. Above all else, they ensure that content is delivered with a high degree of quality that leaders can trust.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Intake requests for new or enhanced content and set stakeholder expectations on what to expect in a typical analytics project
• Guide the stakeholder through the process of identifying requirements
• Document business processes on an as-needed basis to aid in the understanding of key metrics for the business process
• Coordinate requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders
• Collect requirements and help the stakeholder think through additional requirements that may prove beneficial to the business
• Draft wireframes and work with stakeholders to align requirements with expectations
• Recommend enhancements to stakeholders for report designs. Optimize information layout and help ensure an intuitive user experience
• Draft data flow diagrams and entity relationship diagrams to capture all technical requirements
• Adhere to, and contribute to, data governance guidelines
• Define a test case library based on requirements gathered
• Identify areas of risk with regard to delivery
• Coordinate signoff of requirements by stakeholders
• Communicate delivery risks to stakeholders
• Convey technical requirements to the analytics team and collect level of effort estimates for in-scope work
• Create project plans and communicate the plans with stakeholders. Set clear expectations around key milestones and delivery dates
• Establish ongoing communication channels with stakeholders and align with them on regular update cadences
• Coordinate level 1 issue resolution within the analytics team
• Coordinate level 1 resolution of issues between stakeholders and the analytics team as needed
• Escalate issues as needed to ensure blockers are removed in a timely manner
• Ensure expected progress is made and escalate in the event that the agreed project delivery timeline is at risk
• Ensure data is fully validated by developers and all unit tests have been performed by developers
• Perform comprehensive 2nd round data validation tests and ensure and coordinate with developers to fully resolve quality issues in a timely manner
• Perform comprehensive user acceptance tests on behalf of the stakeholder. Identify quality issues and ensure any/all issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Ensure user documentation is available and easy for business users to understand
• Coordinate user acceptance testing with stakeholder(s). Ensure any identified issues are tracked and fully resolved in a timely manner
• Conduct sessions to confirm go-live readiness
• Coordinate among the analytics team to migrate content to production
• Perform smoke tests in production
• Communicate to stakeholders when content is available and smoke tested in production
• Conduct project postmortems and drive continuous improvement for analytics projects
• Promote strict adherence to the agreed scope of work and coordinate the approval of exceptions
• Ensure requirement documentation is updated as and when requirements are modified
