Commercial Finance Analyst

Location: Hybrid, London office presence required

We have an exciting opportunity in the form of a Commercial Finance Analyst in the Commercial Finance team! Reporting into the Finance Manager (Choice Tribe) you will be responsible for partnering the Buying, Packaging & Recipe Development teams within the Choice Tribe here at Gousto!

Our Choice tribe is at the heart of everything at Gousto ensuring a wide range of recipes are on the menu each and every week. From designing our delicious recipes to create a delectably varied menu to procuring all the high quality ingredients, the team has a crucial role and Finance is a key part of this.

Core Responsibilities

• Own weekly reporting processes, including providing analysis into key performance drivers to support timely management decisions.
• Own the month end and monthly performance processes, ensuring accurate recognition, reporting and understanding of financials.
• Support monthly re-forecasting, collaborating with and challenging key business partners to ensure delivery of commitments.
• Business partner the Buying & Packaging teams to advise, challenge and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Manage the continuous improvement of existing financial models, dashboards and templates to ensure efficient and timely insights to support analysis.
• Own the process for setting recipe targets, identifying cost opportunities, whilst balancing non-financial metrics, and holding business partners accountable.
• Support financialisation of key Choice proposition business cases, working collaboratively on cross-functional projects and briefs.

Who You Are:

• Studying towards or qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
• Successful, proven experience in a similar Commercial Finance role
• Strong Excel and/or GSuite skills
• Data savvy, experience with or interested to learn SQL basics
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset, which supports you in prioritising your work, as well as prioritising what’s right for our customers
• Excellent communicator, with the ability to succinctly summarise complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner for stakeholders of any level / function.
• Drive for development, with guidance from others. You’re self-aware and looking to learn and grow.
• Curious and proactive. We seek to understand problems deeply and are proactive and fast in anticipating future needs (business and customers). Speed and clarity matter!
• Tremendously ambitious: Think big. The opportunity is what you decide to make it. We want brave individuals who question “how can we?” and inspire the rest of the business to do the same
