Senior Software Engineer

At Walmart, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this strategic role, you will lead complex projects, shape the technical direction of our systems, and drive innovation that aligns with our business goals. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, mentor engineering teams, and advocate for best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python and Java
• Expertise in creating scalable and production-ready services using industry-standard design patterns
• Adept at building and maintaining database schemas for both SQL (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases, such as Big Query
• Experience in building automated delivery pipelines with Jenkins
• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform, including using Airflow, and familiarity with Scala and Spark
• Exposure to Kafka or similar high-volume, low-latency messaging systems
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies and strong understanding of CI/CD practices
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong sense of ownership
• Passionate about technology, committed to continuous learning and striving for excellence
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
