Focus of the Role

As a Senior Technical Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for producing insightful and focused performance reporting to support the new management system which enables InfraCo’ s senior leaders to meet their operating plan’s key Commercial, Operational, People & Customer targets. You will do this by formulating insights on a set of relevant and reliable leading, coincident, and lagging performance indicators, and generating actionable and data-driven insights to drive performance to plan through various SLT governance forums.

This role requires an individual who has demonstrated experience in being self-autonomous and the ability to work with various stakeholders including senior leaders.

What You’ll Do

Telstra InfraCo’ s – Business Performance Management within Infrastructure Strategy Performance & Risk is responsible for producing insightful, focused performance reporting & data driven insights on all the key management metrics aligned to InfraCo’s SLT management system to enable InfraCo’s SLT to meets its key corporate objectives and results (OKRs).

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly metric performance management to support the InfraCo SLT Management system.
  • Design and implement interactive dashboards, reports, and commercial data models to support commercial and business decision-making processes.
  • Lead & support reviews of InfraCo’s business performance to ensure that InfraCo meets its key corporate objectives and results (OKRs).
  • Lead commercial analysis, insight generation on relevant and reliable leading, coincident, and lagging performance indicators and actionable data-driven insights that support the SLT meet its OKRs.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across various data sources
  • Direct and manage the build, operation and maintenance of strategic data sets, analytics and reporting tools and methodologies, continuously evolving them in line with industry best practice.
  • Drive identification of ways to remove manual tracking and reporting activity through automation and helping stakeholders self-serve on all basic/routine requests.

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial or strategy function of a large commercial enterprise.
  • Qualification in Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, Information Systems.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen especially in the economics of large vertically integrated businesses.
  • Disciplined problem-solving skills and the ability to structure your thinking in a variety of contexts.
  • Proven records of Commercial data analytics, data management, data visualisation and ability to generate insights for large data sets.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft suite including Excel, Power point, Power BI, VBA programming.
  • Some experience with Microsoft Power App is appreciated.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to engage and collaborate and partner senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
