Network Engineer

Job Description

This is a salaried/full-time hybrid role in NorthEast Ohio.

You must be able to be in the office 3 days per week.

The Network Engineer will ensure successful network operation across multiple data centers, plants, production facilities, and offices.

This individual must have a proven track record of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures.

Expert level and experience administering Firewalls and IPS policies. Palo Alto Firewalls experience is strongly preferred.

This hands-on individual will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and optimizing new and existing voice and data networking solutions.

This person will assist with the network architecture and design, engineering, and administration of all network, telecommunications, and security-related hardware and software components.

This Network Engineer will ensure timely incident and problem resolution while strictly adhering to change and knowledge management procedures.

• Recommend, design, implement, and ensure ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the network infrastructure across the enterprise devices including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points/controllers/bridges, monitoring applications, etc.

• Responsible for overall performance and availability of network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting uptime and reliability service level agreements across the enterprise network infrastructure.

• Establish and monitor network infrastructure security configuration standards, procedures, and compliance.

• Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in network engineering. Network-related certifications are strongly desired.

• Expert level of understanding supporting LAN, WAN, and voice networks.

• Expert level of experience in deploying and supporting Cisco Wireless networks.

• Expert level of understanding with VLANs, STP, trunking, tagging, QoS, static/dynamic routing, and high availability configurations within virtualized networking environments.

• Knowledge and experience with deployment of layer 3 routing protocols.

• Knowledge and experience implementing and supporting SD-WAN, iWAN or DMVPN solutions are strongly desired.

• Knowledge and experience administering on-premise and/or Cloud VoIP solutions.

• Knowledge and experience with Cisco Prime, DNA, and SolarWinds.

• Expertise with virtualized environments; VMware is strongly preferred.
