Fire Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Engineer to assist in Disaster Relief, This is a response to Hurricane Helene. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering principles, particularly in civil and systems engineering, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

Duties
- Design and develop fire protection systems, including fire alarms, suppression systems, and emergency response plans.
- Conduct thorough research on the latest fire safety technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
- Perform data collection and analysis to assess the effectiveness of existing fire protection systems.
- Utilize SolidWorks for system design and modeling of fire safety equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any system failures or incidents to improve future designs.
- Fabricate components as necessary for testing or implementation of fire safety solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fire safety standards.

Requirements

Candidates should have a solid foundation in engineering principles with preferred experience in the following areas:
- Civil Engineering: Understanding of structural design as it relates to fire safety.
- System Design: Experience in creating effective fire protection systems tailored to specific environments.
- Quantum Engineering: Knowledge of advanced technologies that can enhance fire detection and suppression capabilities is a plus.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical systems that may impact fire safety measures.
- Systems Engineering: Ability to approach complex problems holistically within the context of fire safety.
- SolidWorks: Proficiency in using this software for modeling and design purposes.
- Data Collection: Experience in gathering and analyzing data related to fire incidents or system performance.
- Root Cause Analysis: Skills in identifying underlying issues that affect system reliability.

Compensation| Min: $65,000 Max: $85,000

This project is a rapid response assignment due to the recent severe weather impacting the coast of Florida.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
