**About the role

The Senior Frontend Engineer in the EasyPractice development team plays a central role in developing high-quality UI/UX using Vue.js. This role is pivotal in driving the frontend development of our platform and leading the implementation of our Nordhealth Design System, in collaboration with the Principal Product Designer and UI designer.

While the primary focus is on frontend development, experience in PHP Laravel will be considered a huge plus. The Senior Frontend Engineer is expected to take responsibility and have ownership in the product development independently, with the participation and support from the rest of the team and the Team Lead.🚀

Your key responsibilities include:

Software Development and Maintenance

  • Architect and develop high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions using Vue.js.
  • Implement and evolve our Nordhealth Design System in collaboration with the Principal Product Designer.
  • Maintain and enhance existing frontend components to ensure optimal performance, usability and accessibility.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

Technical Expertise

  • Apply best practices to ensure the highest quality of code and maintainability for all frontend development.

  • Share your expertise with team members through mentorship and knowledge sharing sessions.

  • Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers to ensure seamless integration of frontend components with backend systems.

  • Familiar with state-of-the-art frontend security practices and implementing modern security standards.

Agile Development

  • Contribute to Agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives. We have taken the best things from Scrum methodologies that suit us best in our current situation.

  • Work in an iterative and collaborative environment, adapting to changing project requirements.

  • Take ownership of your work, projects, and the outcomes they deliver.

Continuous Improvement

  • Actively participate in peer learning and training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

  • Proactively seek opportunities to optimize processes and enhance development practices.

Knowledge, Experience, and Capabilities

Critical Knowledge:

  • ADegree or equivalent knowledge in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. If not, then an advanced degree or certifications in relevant fields.

Critical Experience:

  • +5 years of hands-on experience in frontend development, particularly with Vue.js.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frontend technologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex frontend projects on time and within scope, demonstrating leadership and ownership.

Preferred:

  • Experience with PHP Laravel and understanding of how frontend interfaces interact with backend systems.

  • Experience with modern frontend practices, including TypeScript, testing frameworks etc.

  • Familiar with web security standards and technologies.

  • Proven adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges.
