Java fluency means you can develop, test and maintain any application that’s written in Java. It means your Java code is clean and efficient and you can assist cross-departmental teams with your interpersonal fluency to deliver high-quality software solutions. You’ll use Java frameworks like Spring and Hibernate, and tools like Maven to navigate databases, version control systems (like Git), and innovative methodologies with agility. Your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to evolving technologies and project requirements mean you’ll have no trouble debugging and resolving issues in your day-to-day work, or adapting to the requirements of the cutting edge projects Sopra Steria delivers.

  • The Java landscape
  • JavaScript frameworks
  • Containerization and orchestration
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS…)
  • Development methodologies, standards and technical risks
  • Architectural patterns (event-driven, n-tier, onion architecture…)
  • Application modernization or integration patterns
  • Agile
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant equivalent
  • Languages: English, and Dutch or French required
