The Role

We are looking for an experienced Paid Search Specialist to fully own the paid search strategy & channel management at MORI.

The Paid Search Specialist will be responsible for all Paid Search channels, from strategy through to execution. They will manage the day-to-day running of campaigns, including keyword research, campaign building, daily optimisations of bids, targets & budget, all to deliver efficient revenue. To achieve this, they will be expected to manage testing plans and stay current on Google updates & industry news/best practices.

The successful candidate will have experience efficiently scaling Google & Bing campaigns for a B2C business to drive revenue growth through valuable customer acquisition.

Reporting into the Senior Growth Manager, sitting alongside the other acquisition team members, including an SEO Specialist and a Senior Paid Search Executive.

Responsibilities

Campaign Management & Strategy:

  • Hands-on set-up up and management of paid search campaigns including bid optimisation, budget management, keyword generation, and audience targeting.
  • Identify keyword gaps and generate new campaigns, ad groups, and keywords to increase volume and maximise ROI.
  • Perform health checks on Text, Dynamic, and Shopping campaigns to ensure they are set up and running to best practice.
  • Define and develop a regular ad copy testing roadmap designed to improve overall performance across our key markets (UK, USA, and Europe)
  • Submitting briefs and liaising with in-house Creative & Content teams to develop compelling creative assets and landing pages for PPC campaigns.
  • Develop campaign strategy of search campaigns with support from the Senior Growth Manager & CMO.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Ensure campaign performance meets/exceeds targets across all markets globally.
  • Analyse, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximise results.
  • Conduct competitive research and present findings and suggested improvements to our sites.
  • Build Looker, Shopify & GA4 reporting on key Search and Shopping metrics.

Team and vendor relationships:

  • Develop a strong relationship with our Google account managers and other technology vendors, and ensure we are participants in all relevant Beta tests.
  • Liaise with Marketing, Product & Creative teams to collect all the necessary content required for new product launches.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the growth team, including SEO, Paid Social, CRM & Ecomm to create integrated marketing campaigns, and report on performance.

Industry knowledge:

  • Staying up to date with the evolving digital landscape to identify relevant first-to-market opportunities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years directly managing Google PPC campaigns for a B2C business to acquire new customers ( experience with Bing is a bonus).
  • Previous accountability for monthly budget management in excess of £50,000 ad spend.
  • Must have active certificates for the following Google exams: AdWords Fundamentals, Search Advertising, Shopping Advertising, Display advertising, Mobile Advertising, Video Advertising and Google Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of attribution models including GA4
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; comfortable in producing complex reports, formulas and pivot tables.
  • An analytical thinker with a knack for numbers and the curiosity to translate the data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communicator, able to speak with authority to senior colleagues and to simplify complex challenges.
