The IT Manager will be results-driven, highly technical and passionate about all things IT, with a strong security-first mindset. The role holder oversees and manages IT operations, systems and network infrastructure within Omilia as a global organisation with employees spanning over 20 countries. Additionally the IT Manager will work closely with their team to implement the strategies and decisions set forth by the leadership team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee IT team's operations and the delivery of Omilia's internal IT help desk
  • Leading and managing IT staff, including hiring, training, coaching and performance management
  • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of IT strategies and infrastructure
  • Responsible for the roll-out and support of enterprise-wide tools, including security tools
  • Responsible for the regular review of IT infrastructure and assets with regards to replacement and upgrade requirements, operating costs and productivity levels
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions and automation enhancements to increase IT operational efficiency
  • Manage and maintain Omilia's network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points
  • Manage IT vendor and service provider relationships, contracts and licenses reated to hardware, software and IT services
  • Collaboration with the security department for the development and implementation of security policies and processes, including enterprise security, BCP, DR, etc.
  • Responsible for the preservation of informations assets by implementing back-up and recovery procedures
  • Responsible for the implementation of security policies, protocols and policies in all IT infrastructure and assets of the organisation
  • Responsible for the identifying and mitigating security risks related to the organisation's IT systems, networks, and assets
  • Facilitation of security audits and investigations (evidence collection, reporting, etc)
  • Define, disseminate and track OKRs and KPIs, managing the performance of the IT team and planning for its continuous improvement
  • Preparation of progress and budget reports for the upper management
  • Active involvement and contribution to all hands-on duties of the IT team

Contribute actively and effectively as an integrated team member

  • Meet regularly with the line manager to review progress
  • Manage issue resolution and critically escalate
  • Work effectively with other teams, units, and departments
  • Manage issues with clarity and ensure effective information flow and team working
  • Support organization's other priority activities, when necessary
  • Act as an Omilia ambassador

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field (Master's degree will be considered a plus)
  • Minimum 6 years experience working in IT operations
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an IT team leader
  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Experienced in remote end-user support and troubleshooting.
  • Solid working knowledge in:
    1. Computer Networks (TCP/IP, VLANs, etc)
    2. All major operating systems (MacOS / Windows / Linux )
    3. Virtualisation technologies (eg. ESXi, Proxmox)
    4. Apple ecosystem and asset management
    5. Scripting languages (bash, Python)
    6. LDAP/Active Directory
    7. IT operations, network administration and automation tools
    8. Security management tools (DLP, CASB, MDM, SASE, etc)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in working in a highly distributed, multicultural organisation
  • Verbal & written proficiency in English (also Greek will be considered a plus)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Information Security standards and processes (ISO27001, SOC2, etc)
  • IT-related certifications (eg. ITIL-3, CCNA, etc)
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies in work planning and execution
