Job Title: Associate Front-End Developer, Global Learning Content Services

Path/Level: P1

**Position Description:**As a Front-End Developer in the Global Learning Content Services (GLCS) team, you will play a key role in developing engaging and interactive user interfaces (UIs) for our courses and applications. This role requires a solid technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, strong expertise in development tools, and knowledge of how content is designed for specific outputs.

The role will report to the GLCS Media Design Manager at LCCI.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with instructional designers, UI/UX designers, and back-end developers to translate design mock-ups and wireframes into functional and responsive Global Learning Content Services experiences.
  • Develop user-facing components for Global Learning Content Services modules, courses, and assessments using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including frameworks like React or Vue.js ).
  • Integrate multimedia elements (audio, video, animations) seamlessly into the Global Learning Content Services content, ensuring smooth playback and accessibility.
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure a consistent and user-friendly experience across various devices (desktop, mobile, tablets).
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in cross-browser testing to ensure functionality and compatibility across different browsers.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest front-end development trends and technologies relevant to Global Learning Content Services.
  • Work collaboratively with the Global Learning Content Services team to maintain a consistent user experience across all learning materials.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer.
  • Strong understanding of Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript best practices.
  • Experience with responsive web design (RWD) principles.
  • Experience with a front-end development framework (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) for web development is preferred.
  • Understanding basic UI/UX design principles is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with content packaging (e.g., SCORM) or Learning Management Systems
  • Experience with integrating multimedia elements (audio, video) into web applications.
  • Written and verbal English proficiency
