e-Learning Developer

Job Overview

You will have an enthusiasm for working with learning technology and a strong desire to work in a company where what you do makes a difference. Your main areas of expertise will be in the design and creation of e-Learning content, working closely with internal experts to scope, design and create engaging and effective learning solutions – from initial concept through to completion.

Key skills

To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate the following:

• Strong pragmatic understanding of adult learning theory
• Proven ability to think creatively and develop effective learning content
• Experience of e-Learning development tools (Ideally Articulate Storyline)
• Understands and can work to SCORM standard for learning management systems
• Experience in design and graphic/media production for e-Learning content
• Fluent English Language skills
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written word for on-screen use
• Ability to work closely with business subject matter experts and colleagues to build effective and successful relationships
• Good organisational skills and the ability to own your product delivery to agreed deadlines
• Ability to challenge and influence others, persuading them to the course of action you believe is right
• Understands the role of the Performance Consultant and identifies when training is not the correct solution to the problem
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, using initiative to keep projects on track

Education

BSc or Masters in Instruction Design or similar. May also be qualified by experience.

Life Sciences experience preferred but not a requirement.
