MMC is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mexico City office and be onsite 3 days a week: Senior Data Engineer

This role is integral to our global Autonomous Finance team within the Corporate Information Solutions (CIS) division. You will be instrumental in transforming legacy processes by deploying advanced AI technologies, focusing on enhancing financial operations.

We will count on you to:

• Develop and maintain sophisticated cloud-based data ingestion pipelines.
• Optimize data pipelines and manage large-scale data processing with tools like Apache Spark, and Databricks and Apache Kafka.
• Execute ETL processes, uphold architectural best practices, and ensure data security and compliance.
• Work closely with business units to refine data collection, integration, and retention strategies.
• Advance data reliability and system efficiency to boost capabilities and performance.
• Employ containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to streamline deployment processes.

What you need to have:

• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with robust experience in major cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Expertise in real-time data processing tools (Apache Kafka) and big data technologies (Apache Spark, Databricks).
• Competence in orchestration frameworks such as (Apache Airflow, Dagster or Prefect).
• A solid grasp of machine learning libraries and tools.
• Proven teamwork skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level).

What makes you stand out?

• Previous experience in a global professional services firm or similar.
• Certifications in key technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Strong experience in building secure data pipelines and implementing SecOps practices.- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.( desirable)
