Are you an experienced Analyst seeking a new opportunity within a trusted and forward-thinking company?

We currently have an Asset Visualisation Analyst position available for a motivated individual to be part of our team in Exeter.

Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of between

£32,000 - £35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.

About the role

The Primary focus for the Asset Visualisation Analyst will be the assembly, ratification and visualisation of storm overflow data. Other outputs will include establishing a corporate reference system that provides data consumers with assurance they are drawing the correct information from the correct source and using values that can be clarified across other business platforms. Additionally, assist projects as required to ensure development of asset data services.

You will Provide analytical and insight talents to the Asset Data Services team as well as the wider Asset Management function within the Regulatory Directorate and will be responsible for visualisation and analysis of asset data through reports and dashboards, creating value from data by enabling it to support the objectives of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist the delivery of projects as required, to ensure successful data management relating to storm overflows and other operational assets
• Redevelopment and ongoing maintenance of South West Water’s Asset Data Portal
• Meet with stakeholders to evaluate and understand requirements for visualising data.
• Scope work, write specifications, develop outputs, involving IS and Asset Management at appropriate technical levels.
• Support Asset Management through data provision and analytical services
• Integrate disparate datasets to facilitate data analytics
• Develop SharePoint and Microsoft BI solutions for display and dissemination of reports, data and visual records.
• Research, analyse and create high end graphical and visual compositing for a range of asset information themes. Develop web, 2D and 3D content within corporate portals and dashboards. Develop graphic data standards and iconographic reference library’s
• Collaborate with Asset Data Services GIS Analysts to ensure the continuity of geospatial data between corporate GIS and any other visualisation platforms
• Collaborate with the Asset Data Services Equipment Register team to ensure the continuity of asset data between Ellipse and other visualisation platforms
• Develop an expert understanding of other corporate records and the master data sets they should hold to ensure dashboards and visualisations contain a single version of the truth.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in the development and design of web and graphic design solutions.
• Experience in project work and working to timescales/deadlines.
• Knowledge of working with, and manipulating data in a visual context.
• Practised use of some, or all, of: SQL, FME, Python, R
• Ability to use and present GIS information, images and other data within map applications, web and other graphical environments using computer based packages.
• Capable of using ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) software to present information extracts.
• An engaging personality with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
• Full UK driving licence.
