Lead UI Designer:

As a Lead UI designer with 4-8 years of experience. The Lead UI Designer must be a great leader with the ability to maximize the talents of the teams. Doing so means being a coach, an instructor, a team leader and a critic all at once. The Lead UI Designer work with User Experience Designers, Visual Designers, User Researchers, Front End Engineers, Business Analysts, Copywriters, and other Marketers on a regular basis to ensure the full experience of the UI/UX of the website, web application or mobile application is being taken care of.

Together with the UX team, you’ll be responsible for building and implementing a design thinking culture.

Lead UI designers tend to take a more strategic, analytical role, so you’ll need to be extremely comfortable with data.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and strategize various design directions basis the brand and client expectations

• Demonstrate high quality design practices. This includes participation in all aspects of UI: mood-boarding, ideation, strategy, interaction design, and visual design. Should be able to push back on stakeholders with innovative UI concepts/ practices.

• Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.

• Empower and mentor designers in the team, fostering a collaborative, productive, and positive environment within a growing team.

• Maintain and further build design team workflows that ensure that all designs delivered are in line with style guides and are of high quality standards.

• Ensure that the projects are delivered on a timely manner.

• Highly communicative and responsive both within the team and to stakeholders across the company while managing a large volume of ongoing projects.

• Should ensure design consistency

• Should be well versed with responsive design principles

• In-depth knowledge of style-guides

• Working closely with the development team to ensure on design feasibility

Requirement:

• 4+ years of industry experience as a UI designer and/or manager in a cross-functional UI/UX team, dedicated to the complete UI design and development lifecycle of several successfully launched websites, applications and other digital products

• Well versed with leading platforms like iOS and Android

• Proven success designing and optimizing high-quality product experiences for a variety of platforms including desktop, web and mobile. Experience in B2B platforms is an advantage.

• Mastery of UI interaction and design principles. Should be able to conduct design workshops

• Architect system wide design solutions that satisfy both product and engineering requirements.

• Experience managing a team of around 6-8 UI/UX designers. Ability to communicate with different departments of a multi-national and dynamic company

• Drive and willingness to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic.

• In addition to fundamental UI design skills, you’ll need to bring strong business know-how and leadership skills to the table.
