Job Description:

CloudRaft is seeking a Database Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or ClickHouse. You will be responsible for managing database operations, ensuring optimal performance, setting up backup and disaster recovery processes, and working on database migration projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain various database systems, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL, MySQL, and ClickHouse.

• Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery setups to ensure data security and availability.

• Perform performance tuning and optimization of databases to ensure high performance and efficiency.

• Develop and implement automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible to streamline database operations.

• Work on ETL/ELT processes to handle data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Assist in database migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.

• Collaborate with the team to design and implement database solutions that align with business needs.

• Gain experience working with cloud platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or others to deploy and manage database systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in Multiple Databases: Strong experience in PostgreSQL (must), and familiarity with other database technologies like MySQL and ClickHouse.

• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Solid understanding of backup strategies and disaster recovery setups.

• Performance Tuning: Ability to analyze and optimize database performance.

• Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ansible for automation.

• ETL/ELT Knowledge: Understanding of ETL/ELT processes for data handling.

• Database Migration: Hands-on experience with migrating databases between different environments.

• Cloud Knowledge: Understanding of at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, etc.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-native database services such as Cloud Native PG, Clickhouse Kubernetes Operator, Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, etc.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and database security best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
