We have the below role within our segment.

The main purpose of the role is to conduct research and analysis of agricultural economic information and trends and proactively develop insights on key industry issues, drivers, and growth opportunities.

​Are you someone who can:

• Maintain a database of necessary agricultural economic and commodity information. Format to comply with analysis, quick retrieval and report writing requirements. Maintain records of data collection activities and implement quality control procedures for data.
• Identify and update critical micro agricultural economic production parameters from relevant sources to enhance analysis of various sub-sectors of the agricultural sector.
• Assist in the preparation of data for analysis and support the division’s planning activities.
• Maintain and circulate latest agriculture and related information to stakeholders within the Bank.
• Maintain the FNB Agriculture electronic market information system (FNB AgriComms).

You will be the ideal candidate if you have:

• Honours Degree in Agricultural Economics or any relevant equivalent
• Above average statistical and analytical skills using relevant packages such as Eviews.
• Understanding of agricultural sector covering sectoral research, project assessments, enterprise viability, evaluations, risk assessment and mitigation, economics, and marketing.
• Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
