We are seeking a talented Lead Data Engineering Manager to support a Fortune 500 Technology Client. The ideal candidate will have 7-12 years of experience in leading data modeling and ETL development, APIs that serve real-time data, and aggregated dashboards, growing and mentoring junior engineers and setting a high bar for both engineering practices on the team and data quality. You will be responsible for data ownership, guaranteeing the speed, quality and usability of the data. What You'll Bring 8-12 years of experience working within data engineering, Business Intelligence and analytics with architecting, designing and developing large scale data solutions.8-12 years of experience in building and maintaining large scale ETL pipleins (batching or streaming) that are optimized for performance and can handle data from various sources, structured or unstructured.6+ years of experience leading data engineers to drive scalable solutions and data productsDeep understanding of distributed data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark and FlinkDeep experience with both batch data and real-time data processing and website tagging and tracking, technical specifications, and SDR. Proficiency in various data modeling techniques such as ER, Hierarchical, Relationship, or noSQL modeling.Expertise in Java, Python, Unix Shell scripting, and Dependency driven job schedulersA very strong sense of data ownership, being willing to guarantee data quality even it it originates from sources you don’t directly controlProven track record in managing large and complex cross functional programs, bringing multiple teams (including project managers) together to work towards a common objective and single source of truth. Experience in leading and mentoring teams that write and maintain high-quality code using standard methodologies such as code reviews, unit testing and continuous integrationGood time management skills and can incrementally deliver to tight schedules. Understanding of Ecommerce data, digital analytics, Product analytics tools (ex. Adobe analytics) and ML processes is a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
