Director - Quality Engineering

The Nasdaq Client Clearing Engineering organization is expanding our technology center in Bengaluru (Bangalore). We are looking for a passionate QA Director with focus on software development and client interaction.

Join the NRTC Client Clearing Engineering Development Team within Nasdaq Marketplace Technology. It is a new team which means you will be building a local automation testing team from scratch. You will also be part of an extensive network of engineers working with our clearing systems across the globe.

NRTC product is a proven multi-asset clearing solution that combines exceptional performance with exceptional adaptability. It is designed to meet the task for high performance with low latency, control risk with sophisticated post-trade clearing workflows and risk management.

Your role and responsibilities :

As a Director in QA, you will be responsible for the building and leading the quality team one of our clearing platforms in India. You will work in a multi-functional product engineering team with highly skilled and expert Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers.

This role has two dimensions, one as team manager and the other as QA Lead within one of our customer delivery teams. You will be overall responsible for your testing team delivering best-in class technology to Nasdaq Marketplace Technology’s global customer base.

We expect you have :

• Have extensive experience working in the QA domain, especially with automated testing.
• Be a multi-skilled, solution-oriented person with a positive can-do attitude.
• Have excellent leadership, social, communication and organizational skills as you will build global relationships with colleagues and customers across geographies, time zones and cultures.
• Be capable of working cross-functionally and internationally in a fast-changing environment. In our work things can change fast, so you are also flexible to changes in priorities.
• Experience of working with systems with high-quality demands.
• Experience of working with financial systems, preferably financial trading, clearing and settlement systems
• Experience in non-functional tests such as failover tests and performance tests.
• Experience from test strategy definition and test design techniques.
• Have experience working in agile teams either using Scrum or Kanban.
• Have experience working as a manager. You will be leading a team of 6-12 quality engineers.
• Stay up to date on market trends and industry standard processes.
• Be a motivated teammate who proactively shares experiences and knowledge towards the team’s goals.
• Have knowledge of scripting and programming in Java, Perl, Python, Shell, and similar languages.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

It would be great if you :

• Experience working with systems of high volume of transactions and/or sub millisecond latency.
• Experience driving agile transformations.
