Job Description

· Interfaces with development and supplier engineering to provide materials and components for company product manufacturing.

· Communicates product specifications to suppliers and assesses supplier’s ability to meet engineering and quality requirements.

· Evaluates suppliers’ internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback in assessment of their operation.

· Qualifies suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier · Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost effectiveness.

· Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur.

· Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met.

Requirement

· Electrical and Electronic Engineering Major

· Typical Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 3 years of related experience.

· Basic skills and knowledge: Good communication skills; Be good at speaking, writing and reading in English; Familiar with Quality · Management System standards and requirements, and can assist supplier in the establishment and maintenance of quality management system; The ability to independently review engineering drawings to understand part quality and technical requirements.

· Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. · Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Other expected skills and knowledge

· Specialize in basic quality tools using to analyze quality data;

· Understand the principles of electrical and mechanical inspection, basic measurement tools and inspection methods;

· Have a professional understanding of the manufacturing and performance of one or more material types (electrical). Medical device background is preffered.

Certifications and Training: Qualified Quality System Internal Auditor, ISO9000 or ISO13485 Lead Auditor Training Certificate Preferred; 6 Sigma Green Belt and above certificate is preferred.

Others: With spirit of teamwork and good self-management skills; can solve a wide range of problems in a creative way and can independently judge and deal with and solve a wide range of complex problems in a creative way based on the relevant information of different situations and data.

Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
