What is Trade Services Team responsible for?

Trade Services is searching for a detail-oriented individual, ideally with an understanding of derivatives, to join the team as an Analyst. Our team is responsible for OTC Derivative Trade Confirmation and Completion. We handle Swaps and Options related products supporting their entire lifecycle. We regularly work with the brokers to reconcile contract terms and corresponding cashflows. We are also in regular contact with many internal and external stakeholders to coordinate important aspects of the derivatives lifecycles – including the possibility to work directly with the Front Office.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to support the team with the daily responsibilities, actively participate in various automation and optimization initiatives and build a great collaboration network between the internal and external business units.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Analyst - Derivatives Operations?

  • Handling OTC Derivatives (Swaps and Options):
    • Ensuring trades are captured with correct details in internal systems.
    • Confirming trade details with the counterparties (through Paper documents or via Electronic platforms e.g. Markit, DTCC, Bloomberg).
    • Calculating and processing lifecycle events (e.g. Option Expirations).
  • Responding to inquiries and resolving issues with internal teams, third party administrators or external solutions providers.
  • Deployment of improvements into existing workflows that provide additional efficiencies, time savings and risk mitigation.
  • Participating in projects as assigned.
  • Preparing metrics and reports.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor's in Finance related field (Derivative Knowledge is a plus).
  • Possesses knowledge of investment industry and financial instruments.
  • Comprehends market mechanisms and factors affecting them.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good command of MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
