What are the Trade Services – Collateral team responsible for?

Collateral team is currently looking for an open-minded and ambitious individual for the role of the Senior Analyst. The ideal candidate possesses an extensive knowledge of investment industries and financial instruments and is eager to join the team supporting derivatives operations and collateral management.

Some of the tasks associated with the role may involve the following: engaging with internal & external parties to resolve collateral related complex queries, handling collateral related projects and initiatives, reconciling & resolving aged discrepancies, doing process improvement & documentation.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Senior Analyst – Investment & Trade Client Services?

  • Ensuring the margin requirements are met within assigned custodian and account specific deadlines, working with Front and Middle Office teams on collateral selection and optimization
  • Assess the risk associated with various collateral types and manage exposure to counterparty risk.
  • Liaising with internal groups (Trading, Middle Office, Legal, Front Office, Settlements, Recon) to resolve issues.
  • Maintaining relationships with external counterparties such as brokers, custodians, FCMs, etc to resolve queries.
  • Independently handling collateral related projects and initiatives and give ideas & solutions.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Ability to generate creative solutions to problems and challenge processes; be willing & take initiative to dig into the detail to resolve issues.
  • Ability to participate and lead projects as well as to provide operational support for new initiatives.
  • Flexible to manage different challenges and ever-increasing complex nature of transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep track of a large and varied workload.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access). Familiarity with/ability to create Excel macros (VBA) would be an advantage.
