Software Engineer - Sensing

We are seeking a proficient Software Engineer who possesses a solid understanding of robotics principles and specializes in crafting sensing algorithms for robots. You will be part of our perception team which focuses on creating a real-time virtual representation of the local environment around the robot and determining where it is in the world, both globally and relative to its environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on integrating various sensors (Lidars/cameras) into our perception and autonomy stack.
• Develop and maintain various sensor device drivers.
• Develop algorithms for sensor fusion and calibrations between multiple cameras and Lidars.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate architecture & and design documentation.
• Deliver reliable software through code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• Analyze performance based on simulation and real-world testing.
• Represent and lead with Apptronik's core values: CHIPC - Curiosity, Humility, Integrity, Passion, Creativity.

Must have

• Masters in Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar, or equivalent
