Connext is the protocol for cross-domain intents, focused on L2-L2 communication. Connext is the most secure and decentralized protocol on the market.

Connext enables any kind of user-facing interaction between blockchains at unprecedentedly low price and latency, settling via canonical bridges for the best possible security.

To allow instant bridging, Connext is using a third-party service provider (a router) who can trustlessly complete the interaction on their behalf. Routers are rewarded with fees.

Connext has a 20-people team, and was founded by Arjun Bhuptani and Layne Haber in 2018.

About the Team

The Connext team is remote first and globally distributed, with English as primary language. We are looking for self-starters who are excited about working in a fast paced startup environment. We do not require contributors to live in specific time zones, but much of the team lives and works in the US/European timezones.

We're looking for a talented, self-driven Senior Protocol Engineer who can help build the interoperability layer of Ethereum. This is a full time, 100% remote opportunity to work with talented crypto team members located all over the world!

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and deploy smart contracts with an emphasis on security.

Contribute to our security posture by leading security assessments, threat modeling, internal audits, bug bounty programs, etc.

Involvement with a roadmap, technical architecture, and prioritization.

Involvement in design documentation, specifications, and code reviews.

Participate in reviewing and accepting code contributions from open-source developers and community members.

Keep up to date with open source products to see what infrastructure can be leveraged

Collaborate with the engineering team to educate them on optimal design patterns for scaling our technology to millions of users with security in mind.

Requirements

Extensive experience with Solidity and Typescript.

Experience with writing and deploying smart contracts in highly adversarial environments.

Experience building and maintaining highly secure software and shipping new products with strong reliability guarantees.

Hands on experience in security and auditing in a production environment with one or more of: public blockchains; consensus protocols; large-scale distributed systems; high availability, and real-time systems; applied cryptography; compilers; any other equivalent / adjacent technology

Past experience with web3 security preferred.

A drive to be constantly learning - much of what we're working on is groundbreaking technology and requires having an investigative, growth mindset to succeed in.
