As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Product Manager with proven medical device industry experience to join our team in Irvine.

The Role

• The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our medical device product lines.
• The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
• This is an onsite role.

The Accountabilities

• Tactical and strategic management of external device partners including acting as key interface.
• Financial management including budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning of delivery development and manufacturing expenses.
• Representing and organizing cross functional leadership through effective and timely communication.
• Ensuring effective use of meetings by clearly defining objectives, agendas, inviting the team members specifically needed and publishing minutes and actions.
• Driving continuous improvement on Product management processes and tools.
• Direct management of project managers with responsibility for device/device constituent development projects.

Market Analysis:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
• Utilize market data to make informed decisions about product positioning, pricing, and differentiation.
• Regularly monitor and analyze competitors' products, strategies, and market share.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with product goals.
• Work closely with the NPI, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to manage the development process, addressing technical challenges and ensuring timely delivery.

Customer Service and Sales Support:

• Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing product information and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs, market trends, and sales performance.
• Assist in the development of sales strategies, providing insights on product positioning and customer requirements.

Product Launch:

• Develop and execute product launch plans, including timelines, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop communication tools to keep clients apprised of all activities.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage product budgets, considering factors such as development costs, manufacturing expenses, and marketing expenditures.
• Monitor key financial metrics, analyze variances, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure product profitability.
• Contribute to the development of revenue forecasts and product pricing strategies.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development progress.
• Communicate effectively with customers, gathering feedback and insights to enhance product features and functionality.
• Engage with key opinion leaders and industry influencers to build strong relationships and gather market intelligence.

The Typical Experiences

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8+ years experience.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager in the medical device industry (Experience working in a contract manufacturing environment a plus).
• Knowledge of medical device regulations and quality standards.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
• Excellent understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change
• Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders

$110,000 - $120,000 a year
