Cost & Financial Accountant

As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for an accomplished Cost & Financial Accountant with Netsuite experience to join our Irvine manufacturing site.

The Role

• Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be the 'go-to' person for all finance related matters in the US, supported by our head office finance department located in Australia.
• The Cost & Financial Accountant will also provide support to the supply chain, manufacturing and engineering teams.
• This is an onsite position.
• This opportunity has the potential to be promoted to Finance Manager as we grow.

The Accountabilities

• Ensure efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Cost accounting, including management of standard costing.
• Timely and correct processing of invoicing and managing accounts receivable.
• Fixed Asset register for accounting and tax maintenance.
• Assist in a timely month-end closing process, reconciliations, and relevant postings.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, including variance analysis.
• Analysis and report preparation.
• Identify areas for operational improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide backup support for various team functions.
• Assist with external audit process and provide supporting documentation as required.
• Management of and adherence to global accounting policies.
• Work seamlessly with the head office finance function in Australia.

The Typical Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing and/or regulated industries.
• Professional, well-developed communication skills.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management, staff, and team members.
• Working knowledge of Netsuite, Microsoft Office Applications, with proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with Netsuite implementation preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

$75,000 - $100,000 a year
