Role: UC4/Automic Automation Administrator

Skill set:

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Automic (UC4) automation tool.
  • Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Automic environments.
  • Strong scripting skills in Automic scripting language.
  • Experience with other scripting languages such as Shell, batch, SQL, Python, etc.
  • System administration skills in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Ability to perform installations, upgrades, and patches for Automic software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, including log analysis within the Automic environment.
  • Capability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement solutions.
  • Understanding of Automic database schema.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining database integrity and performance.
  • Implementation of best practices for Automic architecture and configuration.
  • Knowledge of deploying AAKE (Automic automation Kubernetes Edition) in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external customers.
  • Good Understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts as required by the project or operational needs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and environments.

Key Responsibility

  • Manage and administer Automic (UC4) environments (AE and its components).
  • Ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of Automic systems.
  • Handle installations, upgrades, and patches for Automation Engine.
  • Upgrade Tomcat, AWI and Automic Agents (ex. Linux, Windows, FTP and etc...).
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise for Automic-related issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues associated with Automic UC4
  • Collaborate with support teams and stakeholders to resolve technical problems.
  • Configure and optimize Automic components to meet business requirements.
  • Implement best practices for Automic architecture and configuration.
  • Manage and maintain the Automic database schema.
  • Ensure the integrity and performance of Automic databases.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for Automic configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Work in shifts as required by the project or operational needs.
  • Provide 24x7 On-call support.
  • Coordination with Automic Vendor and reproduce issues for bug identification.

Good to have skills:

  • Automic Automation Technical Specialist certification.
