Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and calculate mechanical devices and assemblies;
• Implement improvements of existing mechanical designs and assemblies;
• Calculate tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis;
• Collaborate with different departments and teams.
• Prepare designs for fabrication and manufacturing;
• Provide support during the building and installation process, ensuring that the machine is built properly and according to design specifications;
• Perform other duties as requested by direct manager.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in respective field;
• 2+ years of experience designing mechanical components and systems from concept through production validation;
• Materials science knowledge;
• Mechanical design knowledge;
• Computer aided design skills;
• Desirable Autodesk Fusion 360 knowledge;
• Familiar with design for manufacturing (DFM) and different manufacturing processes;
• Working knowledge of a large variety of materials (aluminum, steel, composites, foam, etc.);
• Experience with design for reliability and respective durability testing requirements;
• At least B2 (Independent user) level of English knowledge;
• The ability to work in a team.
