Our Job:

We’re looking for UI designers and artists to join our hardworking team! Crafting first-class player experiences is the core of our process; in this role, you'll create intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces to enhance gaming experiences for players around the world. UI designers and artists should thrive in collaborative co-development environments and possess a strong understanding of games and supporting web products. You also prioritize accessibility and relish the opportunity to implement frictionless experiences that enable all types of players to deeply engage with our partners' games; in this capacity, you will work closely with our UI engineers and should be comfortable delving into game engines to build user interfaces.

Our ideal candidates will have experience working within game development teams to create impactful user experiences, as well as a passion for games themselves.

This is a hybrid role to be based in Cardiff, UK.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience designing UI/UX for AAA or independent game titles or entertainment products, as well as a strong portfolio showcasing the work.
  • Shipped at least one game or product in an equivalent industry position.
  • Understanding of game development pipelines and a willingness to work with game engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity).
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects).
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain robust UI systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and concepts to cross-functional teams and a willingness to accept and respond to critical feedback.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail, coupled with a passion for creating immersive gaming experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Some Pluses:

  • Experience leading the implementation of an impactful feature in a game.
  • Experience working with larger teams and/or collaborating on large projects.
  • Experience implementing UI features, screens, menus, or HUDs in a shipped product.
  • Experience working on globalization, accessibility features, or live-service content.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and 3D design.
