Software QA Engineer

PayMongo builds the most advanced online payments infrastructure in SE Asia, starting in the Philippines. Over the next few years, we will build a broad suite of products that aims to lower the barriers and remove all the complexities in payments. At PayMongo, we are working hard in building a robust and scalable payments infrastructure that enables thousands of businesses to succeed in the digital economy. Software QA engineers help us ensure that the software we are building works according the specification and requirements.

In this role, you will take part in various projects that span technologies, systems and processes where you will assess software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes. You will take ownership of the quality of our software. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them and see that they’re dealt with.

There are no shortcuts in building software that powers payments: It’s a lot of work. But once you’re at the top, you’ll enjoy the view.

You will

• Review and analyze requirements, specifications and technical design documents, providing timely feedback to engineers, engineering managers and product managers in the team.
• Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Prioritize and plan testing activities, which includes performing regression testing.
• Play the role of a test engineer: design, develop and execute automated tests.
• Work closely with the software engineering team to identify and report issues found, then verify that the issues are resolved.

• This is a regular, full-time role that is on a hybrid setup with office located in BGC.
