As a Senior Technical Artist you will be primarily responsible for maximizing the capabilities of the team's artwork by delivering custom tools and solutions, supporting asset creation (including VFX and destruction) and contributing to the research and development of our in-house tools. Daily Responsibilities

  • Prototyping, researching and integrating new features for an open-world AAA game in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Working closely with the artists and engineers on creating optimized, high-quality visual assets.
  • Creating and expanding content creation pipeline.
  • Contributing to the research and development of our in-house tools.
  • Improving quality (rendering, animation, physics).
  • Identifying, and foreseeing biggest bottlenecks in the production pipeline.
  • Defining and documenting technical standards.
  • Communicating and cooperating with other teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a technical role in game development.
  • Good working knowledge of Unreal, specifically its world creation pipelines, VFX, Blueprint.
  • Excellent shader development skills.
  • A deep understanding of 3d modeling and texturing workflows (Maya or Blender, Substance Painter and Designer).
  • Experience with automation and tool creation, via Python and/or C++.
  • Demonstrated commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, exchanging knowledge and driving initiatives independently.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and solving problems.
  • Fluent English.

Nice to haves:
(Please note that these skills are not required to apply for the position)

  • Experience in procedural content creation, e.g.: Houdini, Unreal’s PCG and Geometry Script, Blender’s Geometry Nodes.
  • Experience with scalable VFX for real time: Niagara, EmberGen
  • Understanding and scripting of animation pipelines: Maya, MotionBuilder, Unreal’s Animation Blueprints, Sequencer.
