MBD Engineer

As a project contributor and by delegation of the System Engineering Team Leader:

• Identify customer and other stakeholder needs at system level
• Design system element requirements to meet customer application needs
• Manage project/platform associated validation plans
• Ensure the compatibility / standardisation between existing projects / platforms if relevant
• Secure Product Robustness, apply standards

**Identify customer and other stakeholder needs at system level :

• Collect customer inputs (with input data file) and system requirements (with external compliance matrix)
• Interface with customer for functional requirements (including performance / dependability / diagnostic...)
• Produce the system requirement specification (including use-cases, limit cases and misuses).

**Design system element requirements to meet customer application needs

• Perform System simulation of HEV and BEV powertrains based upon customer requirements and develop design targets based upon simulation results with know-how on driving cycle, powertrain topology, etc,.
• Develop Model based system, software for Hybrid and Electric powertrain control with know-how on plant model and control model development with simulink, Stateflow and AMESIM
• Develop embedded control system software using target link, Mototune, dSPACE, etc,.
• Produce the sub-system requirement specifications
• Ensure system-engineering support to the design teams to design the system element and to test and process teams to check it.

**Manage project/platform associated validation plans

• Define the system validation test plan on system benches and ensure that a set of acceptance criteria will guarantee that every high level requirements have been covered.
• Design and Develop SIL, MIL, HIL test set up to verify and validate the system level and subsystem level requirements
• Manage SLI for system issues detected internally or by customer on the sub-systems
• Manage QRQC and FTA for any issue
• Contribute to the dependability process (PHA, System-FMEA, e-FMEA and FTA) and quality process (Design FMEA)

**Ensure the compatibility / standardisation between existing projects/platforms

• Capitalise the know-how (standardisation, specifications, technical reports, processes and guidelines)
• Elaborate patents in his specialty. Participate in the patents committee
• Apply and continuously improve the system engineering standards and tools

**Secure Product Robustness, apply standards

• In accordance with Valeo rules
• In the frame of the ISO26262, MISRA standards
