As a Jr. Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with the Product Manager, stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize and refine product backlogs, assist in sprint planning and execution, and contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the product. Responsibilities:

  • Participate in gathering and analyzing requirements from stakeholders to ensure alignment with the product vision and goals.
  • Assist in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation to effectively communicate requirements to development teams.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, development teams, and other relevant parties to facilitate communication and resolve conflicts.
  • Monitor project progress and sprint outcomes, identifying and addressing any issues or roadblocks that may arise.
  • Help prioritize product backlog items based on business value, technical feasibility, and other relevant factors.
  • Support the Product Owner/Manager in maintaining a clear product roadmap and ensuring that it is communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Continuously gather feedback from users, analyze data, and incorporate insights into product iterations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform product development decisions.
  • Assist in conducting demos, presentations, and other activities to showcase product features and gather feedback.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the product team, actively seeking opportunities to optimize processes and enhance collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Filipino, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
  • Basic understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform product decisions.
