Full Stack Software Developer

Mission Focus: The Full Stack Software Developer will provide onsite software development support for an existing big data analytics project. In this role, you will work with software developers, system engineers, and image scientists to develop customer-specific solutions, internal tools, resolve critical issues, and more using Java, C++, Python, Groovy, and similar languages. You will work with a team of forward-thinking software engineers to build novel solutions for challenging problems for both US Government and industry customers centered on the development of applications and systems focused on space object, missile tracking and developing interfaces and data translations between disparate systems. The focus of this position will be to contribute to the development of all aspects of the architecture, system and full-lifecycle software development conducted in an agile environment.

Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Location/Flexibility: McLean, VA (onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Integrate and Develop applications for space object detection. Identification, tracking and characterization.
• Develop and implement analytical models.
• Maintain and enhance existing custom applications.
• Support migration activities into cloud environments.
• Modernize workflows and interfaces, customizing to include new mission areas and topics.
• Provide exceptional customer support for our clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Java experience (at least 4+ years required)
• JavaScript experience (at least 3+ years desired)
• Experience with software engineering tools (i.e., Git/Subversion, IDE).
• Familiarity with the Agile development process and tools.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Design (TDD).
• Familiarity with React.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development pipelines(CI-CD Pipelines).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters + 1 year of qualified experience
• Bachelors + 3 years of qualified experience
• Associates + 5 years of qualified experience
• High School Degree + 7 years of qualified experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
