What you’ll Do:
· Under general supervision, the Workday Techno-Functional Lead Engineer develops and supports GameStop’s Workday. This role will partner with key stakeholders across the business to proactively identify, build, and implement solutions to complex challenges, mitigate risk, reduce waste and redundancy, and ultimately provide the best UX to GameStop associates.
· This role will be a forward thinker with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.
This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Problem Solving: Identify/Build/Implement solutions to complex challenges:
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify challenges, make recommendations, align with stakeholders on solutions, and build/implement solutions.
· Lead roadmap discussions/planning for product enhancements.
· Partner with L1/L2 support team to identify recurring end user issues, perform root cause analysis, and identify/implement solutions.
· Create high-caliber data visualizations, KPIs, and reports to effectively communicate analytics and insights to HR leadership, business leaders, and other stakeholders, that will drive and inform strategic business decisions across the enterprise.
Continuous Improvement: Identify/Streamline systems:
· Stay up to date on current and emerging technologies and makes recommendations for next gen solutions to reduce costs, improve performance and availability, and reduce administration time for GameStop store information systems, and then implement solutions.
· Participate in all phases of the software cycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, functional design, technical design, coding, testing, implementation, and post implementation support, as needed.
· Document HRIS system flows and identify/implement opportunities to reduce waste and risks
· Design/Support/Modify Workday Integration using EIB, Core Connector and Workday Studio.
· Analyze, design, develop, maintain, monitor and support complex integrations/API and implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet the established business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
· Advanced knowledge of application analysis, design, development, configuration, report writing, and maintenance in Workday (HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation).
· Workday Certification HCM.
· Advanced knowledge of system integration protocols and standards (i.e. HL7, XML, JSON, SQL, JDBC, Java, DICOM, Boomi, etc.).
· Advanced knowledge of Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connector and Workday Studio.
· Advanced knowledge of APIs and interfacing between business applications.
· Advanced knowledge of touch points between various Workday modules and impacts to payroll.
· Expert knowledge of effective problem solving and identifying innovative solutions, including new products
· Intermediate knowledge of continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
· General knowledge of Data security/privacy protocols.
· General knowledge of HR business strategy, technology, and business processes.
· Effectively organize work and contribute to multiple parallel initiatives.
· Ability and enthusiasm for learning, adapting to, and integrating new technologies and methodologies.
· Demonstrated solutions development ability, including innovative thinking, creative problem solving, and the ability to execute ideas quickly while maintaining high quality expectations.
· Proficient written and verbal communication skills using spoken English, including the ability to explain complex ideas to others with varying levels of expertise throughout the organization and with potential business partners.
· Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
· Proficient ability to remain highly effective under stress and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization.
· Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization in a globally distributed, culturally diverse development environment, and communicate with all levels of the organization.
· Consistently demonstrates a commitment to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
· Must be available to work outside of standard business hours, in support of key processes, like payroll.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of ADP Payroll.
· Certification in continuous improvement (ie, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
· General knowledge of project management tools and methodology, such as JIRA and Agile.
