Senior Consultant - Circularity

What you will be doing

As a Senior Consultant at Roland Berger focusing on circularity, you will get the opportunity to work with leading organizations across industries and make a tangible impact on sustainability outcomes. You will engage in creative problem-solving, exploring new technologies, business models, and strategies to optimize resource use and minimize waste and will become an integral part of Roland Berger's expanding practice.

You will collaborate closely with founding partner Arnoud van der Slot, serving both national and international clients on projects centered around circularity, for example on waste management and recycling initiatives. Your role within the team will be crucial, as you take on the responsibility in expanding our expertise and footprint in the circularity sector and leading projects toward sustainable success.

The projects primarily take place in an international setting, as the project teams at this moment are predominantly international. With increasing global awareness of environmental issues, there's a growing demand for circularity expertise and there is a steady stream of diverse project in this dynamic field.

The clientele for each project differs, ranging from industrial enterprises, Private Equity firms, and technology suppliers to policymakers all focusing on circularity, in particular waste management and recycling. By establishing strong partnerships and engaging closely with senior leadership at top-tier and renowned companies within the circularity industry, you can exert a significant influence and drive substantial change.

As a Senior Consultant at Roland Berger you will:

• Take the lead for modules in larger projects, and complete project management of smaller projects (typically leading three to five consultants), with a specific focus on circularity.
• Coach and develop the consultants in your project teams.
• Have direct client contact and lead presentations during client meetings.
• Work closely with industry experts at Roland Berger.
• Contribute to Roland Berger’s knowledge development by capturing insights and drawing lessons from client work.
• Participate in office-wide projects (e.g. in-depth studies on current topics) that further develop Roland Berger or its thinking in a specific area or sector.

Do you recognize yourself in the following qualifications, competencies and skills?

• You have completed an academic university education (i.e. WO).
• You have between four and eight years of experience in strategy consulting, specifically concentrating on circularity, and/or in a strategic/operational role at a company within the circularity industry, with prior involvement in strategic project-based work and/or waste management and/or recycling initiatives being highly advantageous.
• You can think analytically and structure arguments clearly.
• You work with precision.
• You are open-minded.
• You have experience managing others and delegating work to more junior team members.
• You are familiar with/experienced in (financial) modeling (Excel), visualizing presentations (PowerPoint) and storytelling.
• You have good oral, written and presentation skills and an excellent command of the English language.
