Senior System Administrator

Mission

The Senior System Administrator is responsible for the efficient management of cloud services and infrastructure in the Microsoft Azure environment. This position involves administering Azure services, ensuring data security in the cloud, and providing technical support to optimize the company's cloud operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Azure Services Management: Configure, manage and monitor Azure services, including virtual machines, web applications, Azure SQL databases and virtual networks
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security policies, network security groups, firewall rules and access strategies to ensure the security of Azure resources
• Cost optimization: Analyze and optimize Azure service costs by monitoring performance and using cost analysis tools to adjust resources accordingly
• Automation: Use Azure Automation and other tools to automate repetitive tasks, improving operational efficiency
• Disaster Recovery and Backup: Configure and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical data and applications in Azure
• Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support for Azure-related issues, working with development and operations teams to resolve incidents
• Documentation and Training: Maintain up-to-date documentation on Azure architectures, procedures and configurations. Provide training and advice to teams on the efficient use of cloud resources

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
• Significant experience in cloud systems administration, preferably with specific expertise on Microsoft Azure
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services, deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud architecture
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI) for task automation
• Solid understanding of network and security concepts in the cloud
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage several projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, are highly recommended
