Power Platform Senior Developer

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Power Platform Senior Developer. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

This Senior Developer role will create custom Power Platform, cloud-based solutions and work directly with the customer to design and modernize business applications and assisting in the creation of Planet’s Power Platform Center of Excellence for a specific customer. They will provide technical and business explanations and justifications for design, and coding approaches.

Responsibilities

• This Power Platform Senior Developer will be integral in a team created to implement, support, and enhance custom applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
• Develop Power Platform solutions (out of the box product features, custom development and/or use of third-party tools) for business needs.
• Utilize best practices in managing the administration and security of the Power Platform – Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365.
• Utilize connectors, leverage the AI Builder, design Power BI dashboards, build canvas apps, build Power Apps portals, and leverage Power Automate to create business process flows.
• Provide technical direction to a team of 3-5 Power Platform Developers.

Skills Required

• At least 5-7 years of total IT experience performing complex application development projects on the Microsoft stack working closely with cross-functional team members in an Agile Development environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or business administration or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on development experience with Power Platform.
• Experience working directly with Microsoft Azure Security including Azure Network Security Groups, Azure Front Door, Azure Private Endpoints, Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Storage Accounts.
• Hands-on experience delivering solutions that involve Power Platform customization to include server-side code, custom business logic, integration modules, workflow assemblies and plug-ins.
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI and Power Apps
• Experience with Microsoft products or development technologies including JavaScript, .NET, HTML5 and JQuery.
• Ability to present ideas and solutions in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Ability to organize information in a logical and consistent fashion.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills.
• Experience working in an Agile with Scrum environment.
