Senior Experience Designer

Your responsibilities as a Senior UX Designer:

You will be responsible to monitor the user experience of digital products, identifies areas for improvement and boosts digital offerings to ensure they’re user-friendly. Researching, designing, and implementing all user experiences when interacting with a digital product or tool. In addition, this role will involve consulting and communicating with stakeholders to better understand their needs and goals, conduct usability testing, create product prototypes and conduct competitor and user analyses.

Key Accountability:

• Collaborating with Designers and Developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software

• Primary research, stakeholder interview to define problem statement, user research and personas

• User journey & user flows

• Performing usability tests on software products or website features to ensure functionality

• Planning and conducting user research and competitor analysis • Interpreting data and qualitative feedback

• High fidelity wireframes

• Prototype

• Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs.

• Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)

• Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs

• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers

• Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

• Tools – Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD

• Should know basics of design systems and branding

• User / stakeholder interview before arriving at problem statement, can be a discovery with a client regarding product / application.

• User journey / persona (demographics, discount, benefits etc including how app journey will look like)

• Wireframing (outer sketch) mentioning tools

• Product testing

Requirements

The Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree / Postgraduate in Marketing

• Analytical and creative designer, able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential.

• Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role

• Strong portfolio of design projects

• Background in project management and research

• Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture

• Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq)

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus

• Analytical mind with a business acumen

• Excellent communication skills

• B.Sc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
