You’ll be part of a local team of industry-leading specialists delivering projects globally. The role will require managing multiple projects, with direct interaction with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. You’ll also be responsible for revenue generation with project pursuits including developing proposals and client presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Addressing challenging problems with local and international clients.
  • Data collection, modeling, post-processing, analysis documentation of results.
  • Conducting field measurements and inspections.
  • Project team leadership, and the development of junior engineers.
  • Writing technical reports covering methodology, results and recommendations.
  • Preparing proposals, marketing materials and/or technical papers.

Requirements:

  • University degree in structural dynamics, advanced degrees an asset.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural dynamics and vibration control.
  • Familiarity and experience with the use of a variety of vibration measurement instruments and modeling software, including ultra low-level vibration measurements and predictions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines with respect to vibration criteria and monitoring.
  • Ability to deliver quality technical work while respecting budgets and schedules.
  • Knowledge of tuned mass damper design is an asset.
  • Knowledge of whole-building isolation and isolated slab design is an asset.
  • Keen to provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff.
