Security Engineer

Role

Responsibilities

- serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

- oversee the creation and maintenance of a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) boundary

- develop and maintain automated security, compliance, and infrastructure solutions

- build infrastructure-as-code, provide support to software engineers, and support security testing

- provide security mentorship, contribute to a culture of security, and establish technical best practices as they relate to security/compliance

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is: $100,000-$200,000 per year.

In addition to the base salary, Corbalt offers:

Hiring Process

The first stage is an informal conversation to communicate what we're doing, clarify any questions, and gauge interest and fit.

The second stage is a mini-project where we'll work together on a problem based on something we've actually worked on. The goal of this is to get an idea of what working together is like.

The last stage is:

- a 10-20 minute presentation to the team describing what you did on a previous project

- 30 minute conversations with other people on the team to get an additional perspective on what our work is like

Other Requirements

Due to contractual obligations, we are only accepting candidates who are located in and authorized to work in the United States and have at least one year of professional experience.
