Summary:

Dexcom’s Global Product Design (GPD) is a multi-disciplinary team of user experience designers, visual designers, front-end software developers, prototype developers, instructional content designers and industrial designers who support the Dexcom product portfolio. Our newly formed GPD Studio in Vilnius is seeking a User Interface (UI) Designer with deep Design System experience to help grow the existing system and support product development at scale across multiple products.

At Dexcom, you will use design to help improve the lives of our users by creating compelling experiences with our next-generation Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) system and our expansion into non-insulin products. We are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. As a member of the Design System team, you will help ensure that a cohesive visual identity is integrated throughout the development process. You will help us leverage our Design System, from high-level structures down to the single details of Sketch Symbols/Overrides, Components and Libraries. Partnering with the Design Operations team, you will help us expand and evolve how the team can work more effectively using Abstract’s design version control system, Sketch and ultimately Figma. Your work will impact all digital products across the Dexcom ecosystem.

About the Role:

  • Build and enhance UI components that align with our overall design language and comply with our accessibility standards.
  • Consistently refine the Dexcom design system language, visual design documentation, and specifications.
  • Continuously demonstrate mastery in the formal elements of design: colour, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, typography, iconography, emphasis, and unity.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D to make sure developers are given all needed visual design specs, then ensure that designs are implemented as intended across iOS, Android and Web apps.
  • Collaborate closely with the UI app design team to understand their need to translate requirements into intuitive and visually appealing interface designs that fit into our design system logic.
  • Guide other stakeholders to make visual design decisions for mobile/wearable interfaces to follow our design system guidelines.

About You:

  • Fluent in Sketch and Figma and its mechanisms in building a highly efficient design system.
  • Familiar with standards and best practices to construct scalable design systems utilizing design tokens and libraries.
  • Familiar with accessibility standards and right-to-left implementations.
  • Experience designing mobile apps, developing and maintaining Design Systems and experience using Material Design and iOS HIG.
  • Understanding the challenges of building holistic products that deliver on iOS, Android and Flutter platforms.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design toolsets and trends, deep interest in new technology and software for improved design efficiency and automation between design and development.
  • Strong communication skills. Able to discuss trade-offs between design options. Able to communicate ideas and designs to wider audiences.
  • Experience working with global design teams across different time zones is beneficial.

Monthly base salary for this position is from €3,421.25 to €4,025.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
