Job Purpose

As a professional services organization, Navisite focuses on helping clients in their business transformation journey enabled by SAP. This is a customer facing role within the Delivery Organization, providing expert level consulting and leadership on the execution of project activities.

The Solution Architect (EWM) is responsible for overseeing the business solution design and creating the best overall strategic landscape for the customer, including legacy systems and modern SAP solutions for the scope of the assign SAP implementation project.

This includes customer engagement for full project lifecycle activities including pre-project preparations, data strategy and design workshops, supporting project planning activities, enterprise design workshops, overseeing consultant-led fit-to-standard and design workshops, driving end-to-end cross module process design, supporting issue resolution as requested, testing, cutover activities and more. As a Solution Architect (EWM) with Navisite, you will provide leadership to the project team, including other consultants and your clients, and support the development of Navisite reusable content and technology enablement.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

· End-to-end design of industry-specific/corporate customer processes based on SAP stand-alone and embedded EWM, customer-specific development, that maps to the current or future customers process-, application- and system landscape, including proposals for software-decisions

· Review of business processes and corresponding mapping into IT architecture, create documents of business requirements, analyze and define requirements for customer-specific development needs or integration requirements

· Design architecture based on process requirements, application and system landscape

· May also recommend improvements in the existing business process and define customer-roles to execute the according process

· Map and validate performance indicators

· Support implementation phase and assist with the development of project requirements, scope and acceptance testing

· Aggressively pursue up to date SAP skills around your core business area, as well as a strong understanding of integration with other functions. Have an in-depth understanding of SAP Best Practices within your area of focus.

· Be seen by clients as a thought leader in your area of expertise. Be viewed internally and by clients as an expert in the business area (processes, standards, integration departments / processes) you support.

· A Solution Architect must be a role model for Navisite culture and core values. Encourage all team members to work with excellence as a team and to deliver. Find opportunities to network within and outside the company and ensure your colleagues know how to take advantage of Navisite’s collective knowledge and expertise. Find ways to improve the impact Navisite has on clients and their businesses.

· Master the SAP Activate methodology. Be well versed in facilitating Explore phase workshops. Efficiently and effectively deliver business consulting and drive clients to best practice adoption. Understand how Navisite has adapted the SAP Activate methodology to reduce overall project budgets and risks. Be able to articulate this approach to others and be able to participate in these projects.

· Be able to define elements of a project timeline, identify risks and actively lead a business area's project activities and develop deliverables / work product. Drive your team to the timeline and effectively manage priorities and bottlenecks.

· Be able to demonstrate industry-specific knowledge and how it relates to SAP solutions.

· Leverage or attain knowledge specific to multiple geographies for global projects. For example, Senior Consultant should be able to estimate and frame a project effort for implementations in Canada, Europe and/or China or other specific geography where specific requirements vary from those in the U.S.

· Explore new SAP applications as a subject matter expert and may be first adopter for emerging SAP technologies.

· Participates in sales cycle activities including scoping, building, and delivering software demonstrations.

· In-depth SAP Solutions and process knowledge including industry best practices

· Lead fit-gap and other types of working sessions to understand needs driven by business process requirements.

· Translate requirements into solutions, using SAP Best Practices or Navisite Solutions as a baseline.

· Work in conjunction with Navisite project manager to establish the overall plan.

· Work in conjunction with data migration personnel to lead the customer thru the data mapping process.

· Support integration testing and user acceptance testing with customer.

· Sustains adequate product knowledge through formal training, webinars, SAP publications, collaboration among colleagues and self-study.

· Supports internal projects as assigned.

· Assist in the continual improvement of Navisite methods and tools.

· Adhere to Navisite professional standards.

Practice and Team

· Collaborate and mentor others on product capabilities and technology trends.

· Be a positive influence on your teammates. Maintain a calm demeanor in difficult situations. Effectively manage any conflicts or difficult situations.

· Serve as a mentor to other Navisite consultants.

· Participate in the Navisite recruiting efforts. This includes effectively performing technical screening, determination of prospective consulting business knowledge and consulting “soft skills”. Be able to succinctly, but completely, communicate your analysis of candidates’ qualifications.

· Proactively identify opportunities to share your knowledge with your teammates and Navisite in general.

· Build and deliver marketing collateral (e.g., campaigns, webinars etc.) as assigned.

Key Competencies

· Solid understanding of SAP product offerings and its interoperability with other components as well as a high-level understanding of interface technology. Current knowledge of SAP’s intelligent technologies portfolio and available innovation cases.

· S/4HANA Project Implementation experience

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Robust industry and line of business experience for warehousing in distribution and manufacturing environments.
