SUMMARY

Perform Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), and power density (Power Density) testing on a variety of consumer products using prescribed testing methods, following industry standards / specifications appropriate to the product and certification requirements, able to operate different lab testing equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Experience with RF exposure analysis of MPE and measurement of SAR using DASY setup
  • Understand the basic parameters and related knowledge of wireless radio frequency signals and communication.
  • Operate radio frequency measurement equipment (such as analog base station, spectrum analyzer, power meter, signal generator, vector network analyzer, etc.).
  • Conduct organization liquid parameter measurements and system verification according to the procedure.
  • Follow test plans and procedures to measure power (Conducted Output Power), Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), and power density (Power Density), and ensure the accuracy of the measurements.
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and record the relevant data of the equipment.
  • Study relevant test regulations and operating procedures.
  • Perform measurements and testing work.
  • Assist the lab in resolving testing issues.
  • Create work instructions for Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), and power density (Power Density) testing.
  • Follow internal quality processes and procedures.
  • Help the fellow wireless test engineers in the execution of daily testing/work in the lab
  • Assist lab manager with related tasks.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline
  • 2+ years of Experience with RF exposure analysis of MPE and measurement of SAR using DASY setup
  • Experience with different lab equipment: spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, power amplifiers, antennas, Speag Dosimetric Assessment System (DASY), etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work, Monday through Friday, second shift, occasional weekend overtime

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Language Skills: English
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic/Intermediate/Advanced/Highest level of knowledge required/preferred
  • Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic/Intermediate/Advanced level required/preferred
  • Computer Skills: Provide details, designate a level of expertise required/preferred.
  • List other knowledge/skills or abilities required/preferred for performing the job.

TRAVEL

  • 10% travel is required.

EQUIPMENT

  • Experience with different lab equipment: spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, power amplifiers, antennas, Call boxes, Speag Dosimetric Assessment System (DASY 8).
