We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Furniture – Vietnam to join our team. In this role, you will provide manufacturing feedback to the U.S. Design & Quality Engineering team. The position requires communicating design and performance expectations to vendors to ensure successful product quality outcomes, as well as communicating test plan expectations. The role must ensure quality, safety, aesthetics, durability and cost effectiveness for Lakeshore furniture. Applicants should have extensive experience with all furniture products, materials and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has experience with plastics and soft goods, as well as experience with CAD drawings, BOM, specs and tolerances.
A day on the job looks like this:
- Support product development phases to ensure furniture meets requirements
- Own and drive preproduction and production phases
- Collaborate with vendors to develop manufacturing processes, tooling and techniques to ensure consistent and efficient product execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Asia and U.S.A.
