What You’ll Do:
DeepIntent seeks an experienced Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our European Data Infrastructure team. As a Data Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the foundational infrastructure supporting our data ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and accessibility, enabling seamless data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data infrastructure solutions to support the storage, processing, and analysis of large volumes of data
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to optimize data infrastructure performance, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness
- Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data assets and ensure business continuity.
- Continuously optimize data pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and operational issues
- Establish and promote best practices, standards, and guidelines for data infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to the existing infrastructure
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables on time
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience as a Data Infrastructure Engineer, with a minimum of 3 years working in a production environment
- Proficiency with the architecture, deployment, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of open-source data technologies, especially Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, and related software in large-scale production environments
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in scripting and automation.
- Hands-on experience managing large numbers of diverse systems with configuration management or software delivery platforms (such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
- Experience with data center and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
- Good understanding of DevOps practices and experience with containerization technologies such as Docker for packaging and Kubernetes for orchestration
- Experience with security-related infrastructure including MIT Kerberos, OpenSSL, and certificate management
- Understanding of the Linux Operating System, standard networking protocols, and components
- Experience with deploying, supporting, and monitoring new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks
- Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration
- An enthusiastic learner who has a thirst for keeping up with new and various technologies
