Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

Equal Education Partners are recruiting for a Full-Time Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to work in a Welsh Secondary school, beginning in the new academic year; September 2024. The school itself, based just outside of Blackwood, has been renowned for its facilities and teaching support towards pupils of all ages and needs. The school are looking for someone to step into the role and hit the ground running by using their skills and knowledge to positively impact the classroom.

The staff have been commended for their teaching approach, with the school having received an “Outstanding” review at their last Estyn inspection.

The role is confirmed on a long-term basis for 5 days a week, beginning September 2024. If successful, you will initially at the school until at least December 2024, with the potential for this to be extended.

Requirements

• Work on a 1:1 basis with several children in KS2 and KS3.
• Create and maintain a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
• Support the class teacher with delivering planned sessions, as well as creating lesson material.
• Work as part of the wider team and support with general learning assistant duties in the classroom.

You must have at least 40 days of relevant experience in the last 2 years to be considered for this role, as well as being punctual, empathetic, and dedicated to the role. You will either have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo a check.
